Introduction

Some of you know me as Zelda49, and I still maintain my LJ under that name. This is just another journal created for me to post my writings in--like I need more LJs :P This time, though, instead of a running series, this journal is dedicated to housing all of the little one-shots that I have floating around with no place to go. Some of them will be fanfictions, and if I ever find the time to write them, there will be some original fiction as well. You'll be able to tell what's what by the icon in the journal entry.

As always, feel free to read and re-read... and, of course, comment :-P

Daydream Believer

Sharp Dressed Man

Here's one I've been wanting to do for a while, I just couldn't get the idea to form in my head enought to write it. Yesterday it finaly solidified, and here's the result. It may turn into a series, but for now it's just a one-shot.

*Edit*: As I predicted, this did turn into a multi-chapter story, which can be found listed below my ff.net profile.

Summary: Eric tries to come to grips with Speed's death, but finds he can't do it alone.

She's Lost That Loving Feeling

Here's my CBPC entry for March. This month the challenge was "Hurray for Hollywood", where you took the dialog from a scene of a movie and wrote it with characters from Bones.

Summary: An alternate way for Booth and Sully to have met Brennan, adapted for Bones from the movie Top Gun. The boys go out for a night on the town, and set their sights on Brennan.

My entry for the February CBPC: "desire". This one was about something/someone a character wants, as told by that character (I forgot how hard it was to write in the first person!!).

Summary: Brennan may not like psychology, but these gray winter days always make her feel down. And the one thing she needs to cheer her up, she doesn't have.

This one sort of came to me against my will. Over the last few months I've been watching the series Angel on DVD, and just recently finished off the last season. I didn't want to start writing for another fandom because I barely have time for the ones that have already taken over my brain :-P But this one crept up on me, and the next thing I knew I was sitting at the computer writing. This is what popped out.

Summary: The battle's been fought and Angel is battered, confused, and alone, until a figure from his past returns.

Well, I was right--Third Time's A Charm wasn't my last Bones fic. Here's another fluffy little one-shot inspired by my trip to Washington, DC for the Fourth of July fireworks. Third Time's A Charm

Yet another fandom to explore! This is my first Bones fanfic, and--judging by the feeling in the back of my brain--probably not the last. I may build on this, or branch off in another direction, but at the moment this is a stand-alone one-shot full of fluff ;-) The song quoted is As the Stars All Fall Away by a guy named Peter Himmelman--it's the same song heard in the back ground toward the middle of the season finale as Booth and Brennan are sitting in her living room eating Chinese food.

Summary: It's Brennan's birthday, and Angela is taking the squints--and Booth--out to celebrate.

I finally got back to writing original fiction, something I haven't done since...well, since high school, which was a while ago for me. I have lots of ideas about turning this into a longer story, but since we're approaching the end of the school year (the busiest time of year for teachers) and I'm in the middle of a multi-part CSI:NY fanfic (click the link in the sidebar called Hanging By A Moment or check it out at

corybelle50 ), it might be a while before I get back to this one. So for now, here it is as a one-shot. They lyrics used are borrowed from Bruce Channel (Hey Baby) and the Five Satins--or Boyz II Men if you like the cover better--(In the Still of the Nite).

Summary: They fell in love at the airport.

This one's a little different for me--a lot of the material was borrowed from the CSI season 5 episode "Grave Danger", and it's written in the first person. I'm still not entirely sure about this one, but I'm confident enough about it to post it. Perhaps sometime in the future there will be a new version of it, but for now, here's the original.

Summary: I paced the halls of the lab feeling helpless in every way, wondering if the life of the man I loved would continue, or if it had been snuffed out like a candle.

This one was a little ditty I wrote in response to a fic challenge on one of the Miracle boards. The challenge was to take one of the outtakes from the movie DVD and turn it into a story, and I've use the "Cutie Pie" outtake where the boys are standing in line to check in at tryouts. There are subtle reference to two works other than the movie: 1) a story of mine called (for lack of a better title) Krista & Rizzo, the link for which is posted on this page, and 2) a story of

serenity51's called Golden Dreams. As with the others, you don't need to have read either of the longer fics to understand this one.

Summary: Dave Silk is a cutie pie, and the equipment lady isn't the only one who thinks so...

Another one-shot from the CSI:NY collection. This time it not only mentions Maddie, but it features her along with Danny. Again, though, you don't need to read It Could Happen to You to understand this little snipit.

This is the first one-shot I wrote, and is a big favorite with the CSI:NY set. It's taken from one of my longer fics called It Could Happen To You, and there's a brief reference to the female lead from that story, but you don't need to read it to understand this one.
